RE:Which AntiVirus software for R6 ~Dean Brefanaman 4.Oct.02 01:52 AM a Web browser Domino Server 6.0All Platforms
Having experience with both McAfee and Symantec AntiVirus & Filtering (formerly Norton Antivirus) for Domino, I would have to strongly recommond the SAVF. It.... just works. And it has nice Domino integration (all administration is done via Notes databases, and the virus sig updates can be stored in a Notes db & replicated around to update other servers.)
A note on using it with R6, er, v6. At this point my talks with Symantec on official support have been met with blank stares. One rep even told me that Domino didn't have a version 6, it was still at version 3*! (I think this rep was confusing SAVF v3 & Domino, but hey, it was a _Sales_ rep, whatdya expect?!)
SAVF 3 (and NAV 2.5 for that matter) seem to work fine with Domino R6, er, v6. The trick is that you have to install it on R5 before you upgrade. The current SAVF/NAV installer gets confused when you try to install it on a native R6, er, v6 server.
